At thirteen, she moved to Silicon Valley, California with her family and continued her formal ballet education at Bayer Ballet Academy (BBA), where she trained under the renowned Russian Vaganova Ballet Method until graduating from high school at seventeen. During her training, Maya earned a Top Ten placement at the California Dance Classics (CDC) Competition. At age fifteen, she began teaching as a Teaching Assistant for BBA’s Pre-Ballet program, working with children ages 3–5. By sixteen, she was independently teaching her own classes and preparing students for the academy’s annual performances. In 2022, Maya successfully completed the Bolshoi Ballet Academy Teacher Certification Program and received her official teaching qualification. Maya is deeply passionate about ballet and dedicated to inspiring the next generation of dancers. Her classes have consistently been among the most popular, with enrollment reaching approximately 25 students per class.
